Magic Pony Technology
Acquired by Twitter in 2016, Magic Pony Technology was a research-led software company developing new machine-learning based approaches to video enhancement, prediction and compression.
Magic Pony developed techniques that use neural networks and machine learning to provide expanded data for images. Applications of these techniques include enhancing a picture or video taken on a mobile phone, or developing graphics for virtual reality or augmented reality applications.

Rob Bishop
CEO
Rob holds a First Class Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering from Imperial College. He was the first engineering employee at Raspberry Pi, and has received numerous awards for his work in technology. He also holds a number of patents in the technology space. He sold his first company, Intelligent Spatial Positioning, while building Magic Pony during the Entrepreneur First program.
Zehan Wang
CTO
Prior to cofounding Magic Pony, Zehan completed a PhD in Visual Information Processing for Medical Image Analysis at Imperial College London, and started a company to track skin conditions using computer vision. After selling Magic Pony to Twitter, Zehan became the Engineering Lead for the machine learning research organization at Twitter. He is now working on building an AI Center of Excellence in Europe, and advises companies on the Entrepreneur First programme.
